Kinetic Typography

Unfortunately, I was very ill and missed an important workshop where we were taught how to use Adobe AfterEffects to create a sequence with kinetic typography, which is part of our task.

So I used YouTube to look at some tutorials and I sort of grasped the basics. Here was my first attempt at it:

For the task we were asked to create a sequence of AfterEffects of over 20 seconds accompanied with audio featuring spoken words. I chose to use a scene from one of my favourite films; Pulp Fiction. The scene is know as the ‘Hamburger’ scene. I used a similar font style and font colour as the title sequence in Pulp Fiction, as shown below:

I did find this task challenging as I’ve had no experience with AfterEffects before. But it was enjoyable to do and I would definitely explore it further if needed.
